We are looking for a Treasurer & are particularly keen to recruit trustees from Black & Asian communities, those who have "lived experience" of homelessness & mental health issues & those from other minoritised communities.

This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for vulnerable young women and their children who have been affected by abuse. As a treasurer and trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity. For those who are not finance professionals, becoming a charity treasurer can be a valuable opportunity to develop new skills and gain experience in financial management, particularly in the context of a non-profit organisation.

YWHP is a well established, Sheffield based, charity providing trauma informed safe, supported housing, therapeutic programmes and counselling for young women and their children who have been affected by sexual abuse, domestic abuse and sexual exploitation. As well as fulfilling the duties of a Trustee, the Treasurer maintains an overview of Young Women's Housing Project's financial affairs. The Treasurer ensures that effective and appropriate financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place and reports to the Board at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation.
