Senior Procurement Officer
Location: London (near Tower Bridge) – hybrid working (1 day per week in office)
Salary: £55, – £60, per annum

We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to take ownership of key indirect spend areas and deliver impactful procurement solutions across a diverse stakeholder landscape.
About the Role
This is a strategic and hands-on procurement position where you’ll lead end-to-end tendering activity and develop category strategies that deliver measurable value. You’ll work across a broad portfolio of indirect spend, with a focus on:
1. Estates & Facilities
2. Digital / Technology
3. Workforce
You’ll manage procurement projects from initial scoping through to contract award, ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations, including the Procurement Act .
Key Responsibilities
4. Lead and deliver end-to-end procurement exercises using e-tendering systems
5. Develop and implement category strategies aligned to organisational objectives
6. Provide expert advice on procurement routes, contract structures, and compliance
7. Manage supplier relationships and contract performance to drive continuous improvement
8. Analyse spend and market data to identify savings and value opportunities
9. Engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders
10. Line manage 1-2 team members, supporting their development and performance
11. Ensure all procurement activity is compliant, transparent, and delivers best value
About You
You’ll be a commercially minded procurement professional with the confidence to operate independently and influence at all levels.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who bring:
12. Strong experience in public sector procurement
13. Up-to-date knowledge of procurement legislation (including the Procurement Act )
14. Proven experience delivering tenders independently via e-procurement systems
15. Experience in one or more of the following categories: Estates & Facilities, Digital, or Workforce
16. Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills
17. Experience managing or mentoring staff
A CIPS qualification (or working towards Chartered status) is highly desirable.
