Electrical Assembly Supervisor – Lead Electrical Technician
Essential Responsibilities
1. Supervise Electrical Assembly Team: Provide leadership, team supervision, and hands-on training to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to standards.
2. Hands-On Electrical Assembly: Assemble electrical panels, junction boxes, and electrical systems using technical schematics, blueprints, and work orders. Support during build and assembly phases.
3. Electrical Testing and Troubleshooting: Lead functional testing, diagnose electrical issues, and apply corrective actions to maintain performance and safety standards.
4. Technical Documentation Review: Interpret and verify schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation; guide team members as needed.
5. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control inspections and safety checks on electrical assemblies; resolve non-conformities promptly.
6. Accurate Documentation and Reporting: Keep records of assembly procedures, test results, and electrical work performed.
7. Continuous Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve assembly processes, product reliability, and implement lean manufacturing practices.
8. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
9. Enforce Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and electrical safety protocols during all phases of assembly.
10. Mentorship and Team Development: Train and mentor junior electricians and technicians, fostering a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned within training and qualifications scope.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Education and Experience:
o High School diploma or equivalent required.
o 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience in industrial or automation environments.
o Associate degree or technical school certificate in Electrical Technology.
o Proven leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing setting.
* Technical & Supervisory Skills:
o Strong skills in electrical systems management, team leadership, and production oversight.
o Skilled in task prioritization, quality control, and meeting production goals.
* Licensing and Requirements:
o Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
o Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight stays for customer support.
o Proficient in NEC, NFPA 79, and other electrical codes.
o Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
o Must provide personal electrical wiring tools and tool bag.
o Comfortable working with skilled professionals across departments.
