Job Responsibilities
As Deputy Theatre Manager, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operational leadership of our theatre department, deputising for the Theatre Manager and ensuring exceptional standards are maintained at all times.
* Supporting the operational management of theatres to ensure safe, efficient service delivery.
* Leading, motivating, and developing a multidisciplinary team.
* Maintaining high standards of clinical care, governance, and patient safety.
* Ensuring compliance with CQC and national standards (e.g. NICE, NatSSIPs).
* Managing resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, and budgets.
* Monitoring performance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Acting as a visible leader, fostering a positive and high‑performing team culture.
Leadership & Impact
You will shape a supportive and accountable team environment, including:
* Coaching and developing team members through appraisals and ongoing support.
* Managing performance, wellbeing, and attendance.
* Supporting training, induction, and continuous professional development.
* Driving engagement, collaboration, and service improvement across teams.
About You
* RGN or ODP (Level 3 or equivalent).
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
* Strong clinical background within theatre settings.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support teams.
* Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
* A passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
Location & Contract
Location: The Horder Centre, Crowborough
Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent (37.5 hours – 4 days per week, 8am to 6pm)
Base Salary: up to £53,800.50 per annum
