Territory Studio is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the Finance Director in managing the group's daily financial operations across our studios based in London, San Francisco and LA. You bring strong organisational skills, a positive attitude, willingness to learn in a fast paced creative environment.
Comfortable working with numbers, systems and people, you take ownership of your work, communicate clearly and thrive as part of a collaborative finance team. You're motivated, reliable and keen to grow your skills as our business evolves.
This role is based at our London Studio, and involves a hybrid work schedule with minimum 2-days-in-the-office per week.

The Role
Responsibilities include:
Preparation of group consolidated monthly management accounts in collaboration with the Accounts Assistant, incl variance analysis, ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with board packs for one entity in the UK and two in the US
Reconciliation of project costs (staff and 3rd party) through collaboration with the creative and production teams to understand and report movements versus budget and its impact on revenue recognition
Deliver timely management reporting to the Finance Manager, for distribution to the executive team and local leadership teams
Weekly sales and pipeline reporting
Job profitability/Margin movements
Billable utilisation
Oversee the AP and AR processing by the Accounts Assistant, ensuring efficiency and precision, including pay runs and aged debtor control
Assist the Finance Manager with updating and maintenance of group cashflow forecast and day to day multi currency/entity cash management
Manage the monthly payroll for UK and fortnightly cycle in one of the US entities
Responsible to preparation of the VAT returns for two UK entities
Assist with annual group audit, gathering information and answering queries
Support the Finance Manager and Finance Director with adhoc projects
Required Skills/ Experience
Excellent communicator, able to speak about complex financial matters to non financial people
Experience managing financial transactions and accounts in multiple currencies in a creative studio, media, or production company in a similar role
Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
Good systems knowledge (ERPs, excel, google sheets etc) and an appetite for improvement and efficiency (Paprika experience is desirable but not essential)
Highly numerate and strong attention to detail
Able to work to deadlines and on own initiative with a hands on & can do attitude
