Job Title: Registered Manager Location: Stoke-on-Trent Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Reports To: Regional Manager / Director of Care Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead and manage our childrens care service in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care while ensuring full compliance with Ofsted standards and all relevant legislation. You will lead a team of care professionals, promote a positive and supportive environment, and ensure the wellbeing and safety of the people we support. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the day-to-day operations of the care service to ensure outstanding care delivery. * Lead, motivate, and develop staff through effective supervision, training, and performance management. * Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, health and safety standards, and internal policies. * Create, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual needs. * Maintain accurate records and ensure audits and inspections are passed successfully. * Build positive relationships with service users, families, staff, external professionals, and local authorities. * Oversee recruitment and retention of staff in line with safer recruitment practices. * Manage budgets, rotas, and resources to ensure efficient service delivery. * Promote a safeguarding culture and ensure all concerns are addressed promptly. Requirements: * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards it). * At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or deputy managerial role within adult social care. * Strong working knowledge of Ofsted standards and relevant health and social care legislation. * Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. * Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings/weekends as required. * A valid UK driving licence (desirable, depending on service location).
