We’re opening a brand-new store in Harrogate, and we’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Store Manager to take the reins from day one. At 15,000 square feet, this is a compact layout that blends core retail with a premium Kitchen & Bathroom Design & Installation showroom. Managing both the fast-paced retail floor and high-ticket project sales means more complexity — and more reward. You’ll be a key player across the region, with frequent travel to our York store.

The Role
The role of Store Manager within Wickes is essential and offers strong potential for growth. You’ll be a proven leader who can bring your team along with you, manage your workload, and keep safety top of mind for yourself and others. You’ll be customer-centric, ensuring every customer has a great shopping experience and approaching your work with a winning mindset. Responsibilities include organizing and guiding your team to achieve targets, motivating colleagues and serving customers, ensuring the right products are available and promotions are up to date.
About You
We are looking for someone who is (or has been) an experienced store manager within a retail environment. A can-do spirit is essential in retail. You should understand the financial side of the business with KPI exposure and working to targets. You should also have experience recruiting great team members and developing talent.
