We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Facilities Officer to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our facilities services. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running, safety, and compliance of our buildings and infrastructure. You will oversee maintenance, contractors, health & safety, and contribute to strategic planning for future improvements.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead the facilities team and manage contractors to deliver high-quality services.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements.
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across all sites.
* Manage budgets, procurement, and service contracts.
* Support sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency improvements.
* Act as the main point of contact for facilities-related issues and emergencies.
* Maintain accurate records and produce reports for senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in facilities management, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and building compliance.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH/NEBOSH, BIFM, or equivalent) are desirable.
