Receptionist Administrator - Emergency Department
Our busy Emergency and Urgent Treatment Care Department is currently seeking Receptionists to work a variety of shifts. The administration and reception team provide vital support to our patients and clinical staff. If you have good communication skills, work well under pressure, have good clerical and keyboard skills, and enjoy working in a team environment, we would like to hear from you.
Main Duties
* Provide reception and administrative support for the Emergency Department.
* Perform clerical duties, including data entry, phone handling, and maintaining patient records.
* Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
* Prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively in a demanding environment.
* Deliver excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
* Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with clinical staff.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Good level of general education.
* Vocational Level 3 qualification in Customer Service / Administration Management or equivalent.
* Experience of clerical duties in an office or administration environment.
* Customer service experience.
* Proficient in IT and computer systems.
* Strong keyboard skills with high accuracy.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to respond to a range of people in a courteous and professional manner.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Well presented, professional behaviour.
Desirable:
* Experience working within the NHS or on a reception desk.
* Experience interacting with senior clinical or managerial colleagues.
* Familiarity with University Hospitals Dorset IT systems such as eCAMIS, Systm1 or Agyle.
* Ability to answer patient queries or know where to refer them.

* Salary: £25,760 to £27,476 per annum (pro rata)
* Contract: Permanent
