Richard Huish College has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset. This is an exciting time to join our Student Support Team as the Mental Health and Wellbeing Officer. The role provides an opportunity to support students and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. You will work closely with the Mental Health and Wellbeing lead as well as the Director of Student Services to offer one to one meetings and group support. We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to join the Mental Health and Wellbeing Team at the College. If you are a confident communicator with the ability to work well with students and colleagues and have experience of working towards deadlines, we look forward to hearing from you. Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Mental Health and Wellbeing lead and the Director of Student Services to offer one-to-one meetings and group support to students.
* Support students to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

* Confident communicator with the ability to work well with students and colleagues.
* Experience of working towards deadlines.
Details
* Salary: £30,960-£32,936 FTE (SP15-17) Actual salary £28,788-£30,626 depending on experience
* Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)
* Contract: Fixed Term maternity leave cover, up to 1 year
* Start Date: date to be agreed depending on notice period
* Closing date: 9.00am on Friday 26th September 2025
