Core subject areas include Maths, English, or Science, working with young people with SEN / SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Merseyside. Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support. Our mission is to transform the quality of education for vulnerable learners, with a team around the child and ongoing support from our SEN / SEND Support Specialists.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require educational and social-emotional support
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions meeting the young person’s needs and progressing their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD or other needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with obtaining at cost available)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with the right to work in the UK (including remote work)
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* This is a contract-for-service role: engage with us as a Worker for short-term engagements and be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer a fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
