Job Title: Safety, Quality & Training Assessor
Department: Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, & Training (HSEQT)
Reporting to: HSEQT Manager, Gary Murphy
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Job Overview:
The Safety, Quality & Training Assessor will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and training across all Circet Installs (UK) operations. The successful candidate will conduct safety and quality audits, provide in-field training and coaching, and lead investigations into adverse events such as service/utility strikes, non-compliance, or RIDDOR incidents. Experience in the Openreach network and a commitment to HSEQT standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and oversee the implementation of Circet (UK)'s HSEQT management systems.
* Support organizational growth and cultural development.
* Provide advice on HSEQT matters to ensure legal compliance.
* Initiate continuous improvement initiatives in HSEQT.
Safety & Quality Audits:
* Conduct daily, live, and post-project safety and quality audits.
* Ensure compliance with legal HSEQ obligations across worksites.
* Update HSEQT documentation regularly.
Incident Investigation:
* Lead investigations into adverse events.
* Prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Training & Development:
* Assess employee skills and performance.
* Develop and deliver tailored training programs.
* Ensure employees are trained to work safely and efficiently.
In-field Training & Coaching:
* Provide in-field training to meet safety and quality standards.
* Promote a ‘Right Time First Time’ culture.
* Guide staff in line with the ‘Choices’ campaign.
Continuous Improvement:
* Develop and monitor HSEQ targets.
* Implement initiatives for safety, quality, and training improvements.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
* SmartAwards compliance.
* Experience with Openreach Fibre and Copper networks.
* Telecommunications experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Effective communication and reporting skills.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines.
