The Senior Organisational Development Advisor will play a critical role in supporting GGC HSCP to deliver its strategic priorities through effective organisational development practice. The postholder will design and deliver evidence‑based interventions that strengthen leadership and management capability, enhance team effectiveness and enable sustainable change across health and social care services. Working in close partnership with senior leaders, managers and professional groups, the role will contribute to improving organisational performance, workforce wellbeing and service outcomes. The postholder will provide expert and hands‑on support across leadership and management development, change management, workplace wellbeing, organisational design and service improvement. The postholder will lead and support complex OD projects, ensuring a consistent, systematic and inclusive approach aligned to organisational values, workforce priorities and governance arrangements.


Responsibilities

* Design and deliver evidence‑based interventions that strengthen leadership, management and team effectiveness across health and social care services.
* Provide expert and hands‑on support in leadership and management development, change management, workplace wellbeing, organisational design and service improvement.
* Work closely with senior leaders, managers and professional groups to inform and support organisational performance and workforce wellbeing.
* Lead and support complex OD projects, ensuring a systematic, inclusive and values‑aligned approach in line with organisational governance.


Qualifications and Experience

* Degree level qualification in HR and OD (or equivalent experience that demonstrates this level of knowledge and learning).
* Extensive experience and success in consulting with director‑level people, building trust and credibility at that level.
* In‑depth knowledge of OD practices, tools and methodologies and a proven track record of applying them to achieve high‑value organisational outcomes.
* Strong presentation and delivery skills that inspire confidence at all levels.
* Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity, translating these for target audiences.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering organisation‑level projects and change in the public or private sector.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills across diverse service areas and organisational levels.
* Experience working across agency and professional boundaries in a collaborative way.
* Strong conflict‑resolution and problem‑solving skills.
* Experience analysing complex information and producing high‑quality reports for senior teams.
* Experience in change management within a large, complex organisation, supported by relevant qualification or experience.
* Strong organisational knowledge of the health and/or community care sectors.
* Experience identifying, costing and managing external consultants as extended resources.
* Experience developing a culture of continuous improvement through the application of improvement methodologies, supported by a relevant qualification.
