Major Roles and Responsibilities
• On-Ground Project Leadership: Serve as the primary on-site leader in Serbia, taking full ownership of project milestones, risk management, and quality assurance from planning through to final handover.
• Partner and Team Management: Direct and oversee the activities of our local Serbian delivery partner, ensuring their engineering teams adhere to project specifications, safety protocols, and customers quality standards.
• Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for customer stakeholders on-site, providing regular progress updates, managing expectations, and resolving any project-related issues with professionalism and efficiency.
• Governance and Reporting: Implement and maintain a rigorous governance framework, tracking all site activities, managing documentation, and providing clear, consistent reports to NETS International’s central program office.
• Technical Oversight: Ensure all technical deliverables related to networking, managed services, and infrastructure deployment are met according to the project’s highly customized and country-specific requirements.
• Timeline and Budget Control: Manage project schedules and on-ground logistics to meet the tough timelines required by the client, ensuring the project remains on track and within scope.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Local Market Expertise: Must be a Serbian national with extensive, proven experience working within the Serbian telecommunications sector.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Serbian and English is mandatory for effective communication with local teams, partners, and our global headquarters.
• Technical Background: Strong understanding of large-scale IP networking, carriergrade infrastructure, and managed services. Hands-on experience with technologies (e.g., routing, switching, automation) is highly preferred.
• Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is required. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a significant advantage.
• Proven Delivery Record: Demonstrable experience managing complex, multi-site technology rollouts, preferably within a telecommunications environment.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors effectively. Superior stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
• Residency: Must be based in Serbia and have the ability to travel to project sites across the country as needed.
