We are looking for a dependable and skilled Handyperson to join our university maintenance team on a permanent. The successful candidate will carry out general maintenance duties across campus buildings and facilities, helping to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential maintenance problems.
* Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and ready for use.
* Work closely with the estates and facilities team to support smooth campus operations.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines and university policies.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a handyperson or maintenance technician.
* Skilled in a variety of maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise workload efficiently.
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
* Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
