Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Service open 10:00 – 23:00, 7 days per week, 365 days a year. Must be flexible and available some weekends.

Salary: £25,750 per annum
The North East Essex (NEE) Sanctuary provides support to individuals presenting with emotional distress and at risk of escalating towards a mental health crisis. The Service Coordinator will be part of an experienced team, providing emotional support through skills such as active listening, de-escalation, and distraction techniques to prevent referrals to secondary mental health services, Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC), and other emergency services.
The post holder will support the NEE Sanctuary team and volunteers by applying their knowledge of mental health in North East Essex. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, and support of volunteers supporting the service.
The Service Coordinator will monitor, collect, and record service data aligned with the service's key performance indicators (KPIs), and will deputise for the service manager and support senior support workers when necessary.
The NEE Sanctuary operates from two central locations in Colchester and Clacton, with outreach services in Harwich and Brightlingsea.
