About Us:
SEND Inclusion Support is recruiting for an experienced Headteacher to lead one of our partner schools, a well-established and thriving independent school in Rawtenstall, Lancashire. The school provides a high-quality education for both primary and secondary-aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Its nurturing environment supports students to achieve their full potential through a holistic approach to education. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Headteacher to lead the school into its next phase of development.
Role Overview:
As Headteacher, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the school, ensuring a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment for all students. We are looking for an inspirational leader with a strong background in SEMH education who can drive improvement and innovation while fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Educational Leadership:Provide clear vision and leadership, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and care.
* SEMH Expertise:Implement and uphold best practices in SEMH education, creating tailored strategies for student development and well-being.
* School Development:Drive continuous improvement, ensuring the school meets and exceeds regulatory and quality standards.
* Operational Management:Oversee day-to-day operations, including curriculum development, staff recruitment, and safeguarding procedures.
* Community Engagement:Work collaboratively with students, parents, staff, and external stakeholders to promote a positive school culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Headteacher Experience:Proven experience in an educational leadership role, ideally within an SEMH or SEN setting.
* SEMH Focus:Strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and experience in supporting associated learning requirements.
* Leadership & Strategy:Demonstrated ability to develop and implement school-wide strategies for improvement and innovation.
* Independent School Knowledge:Familiarity with the structure and operation of independent schools is desirable.
