The post holder will support the Trust to achieve RTT Performance standards. They will assist in RTT data collection for patients on clinical pathways and carry out data quality checks and data validation to ensure we capture accurate waiting times. The post holder will offer advice and support on RTT rules and support the understanding of the RTT measures and standard. The postholder will assist the Deputy Directorate manager with management of the holding list patients and other operational actions.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will support the Medical PA Manager and secretarial staff in data validation Manager and operational staff with the following but not exhaustive:- The monitoring of the Trusts RTT data to ensure information is recorded accurately.
1. Assist with validation using PTL reports relating to RTT. Monitor patients that are on an “on-going” RTT week pathway and ensure pathway details are correctly recorded to enable RTT targets to be achieved ensuring that all the RTT rules and Access Polity guidance are adhered to and amend where necessary for any recording inaccuracies.
2. Follow department and standard operating procedures and contribute to the process surrounding the recording of RTT.
3. To assist in the identification of procedural issues that will reduce and improve data quality;.
4. To assist in conducting regular audits and weekly validation of the ongoing PTL list in liaison with Deputy Directorate Manager, Medical PA Supervisor; outpatient staff and nurses, medical secretaries and elective admissions.
5. Produce reports on request with regards to holding list patients.
6. Act as an advisor to clinical and non-clinical staff in the RTT pathways to help improve knowledge of the process to adjust RTT start and stops according to DoH National Guidance to ensure patients pathways are accurately recorded on Trust PAS System.
7. Investigate and take the appropriate action where pathways are incomplete to ensure that patients are receiving timely treatment and Trust information is robust.
8. Support medical secretaries, admin managers with processes around the RTT pathway.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Admin and/or customer services or equivalent level of working experience
* GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Math's or equivalent level of literacy and numeracy
Desirable criteria
* ECDL or equivalent Microsoft -application
* NHS RTT E-Learning modules
Experience
Essential criteria
* Extensive use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, word, excel
* Prioritizing own workloads
* Proven ability to work to deadlines
* Using intranet to research
Desirable criteria
* NHS experience in an administrative or clerical environment where RTT is applicable
* Good in-depth working knowledge and operational use of NHS IT systems specifically around patient pathways and RTT rules
