Overview
An opportunity has arisen in our client services department for someone to assist with year end accounts, corporation tax returns, bookkeeping and VAT services we provide.
The role will involve preparing year end accounts for Limited companies, sole traders and partnerships for manager review, drafting corporation tax returns, liaising with clients on queries, and ensuring deadlines are met. There will also be opportunities to prepare some bookkeeping and VAT returns.
Prior experience working in an accountancy practice would be ideal. However, we are also interested in hearing from those applicants with experience gained in a commercial environment, looking for their first step into practice.
Experience with different accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent) is desirable but not essential as training will be available on any specific packages used.
Skills
* Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
* Communication skills and telephone manner
* Ability to prioritise workload and work with other team members to meet deadlines
* AAT qualified or working towards.
