A well-established UK law firm is looking to recruit a Corporate & Commercial Solicitor (3–5 PQE) to join its dynamic team in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer seeking a broad role with real responsibility, high-quality work, and clear progression prospects.
The Opportunity
You'll join a collaborative team working across a wide mix of corporate and commercial matters, with the chance to:
* Lead on smaller transactions
* Support senior lawyers on complex deals
* Build strong client relationships from an early stage
The Role
Corporate:
* Advising on M&A transactions (share and asset sales/purchases)
* Supporting restructures, reorganisations, and joint ventures
* Drafting shareholder agreements, investment agreements, and constitutional documents
Commercial:
* Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts (supply, services, distribution, agency, T&Cs)
* Advising on IP, licensing, confidentiality, and data protection matters
Client & Team Exposure:
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients
* Supporting business development initiatives and networking
* Collaborating across teams to deliver seamless client service
* Assisting with supervision of junior team members where appropriate
About You
* England & Wales qualified solicitor (ideally 3–7 years PQE)
* Strong experience in corporate/commercial law, including M&A and contracts
* Confident managing your own matters with appropriate supervision
* Commercially aware with a genuine interest in clients’ businesses
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
* Able to build trusted client relationships and deliver practical advice
