Are you a safety‑conscious professional with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for operational excellence? We are looking for a Permit to Work Coordinator to play a vital role in our technical services team.
In this role, you will be the gatekeeper of safety and operational continuity. Your mission is to ensure that all planned work from minor maintenance to major projects are executed safely and without disrupting the client’s day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Permit Request Applications.
* Maintain the master works monitoring tracker and ensure all operations adhere to best practices and legal regulations.
* Conduct regular audits of permit controls to ensure high‑standard “Safe Systems of Work” are followed consistently.
* Verify that all trade contractors complete required legal documentation and remain fully compliant with site standards.
* Act as a key liaison between management, staff, and vendors. Participate in client meetings and provide detailed progress reports as required.
* Support and deliver all Health & Safety (H&S) requirements, including conducting Dynamic Risk Assessments (DRA) where necessary.
About You
* Previous experience in a permit‑to‑work, facilities management, or health and safety coordination role.
* A strong understanding of RAMS and safe working practices.
* The ability to spot a missing signature or a safety loophole from a mile away.
* Confident in dealing with everyone from site contractors to high‑level clients.
* Comfortable performing quality controls and monitoring production in a live operational environment.
