As an Assurance Standards Consultant, you'll be responsible for delivering effective assurance oversight to keep The Openwork Partnership safe and reduce consumer harm. You will ensure that efficient and effective assurance standards are maintained across operational regulatory functions. This is a proactive role with significant scope for development.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in our Swindon office.
The opportunity
As an Assurance Standards Consultant, you'll be accountable for delivering assurance oversight to safeguard The Openwork Partnership and mitigate consumer harm. Your role involves ensuring assurance standards across operational regulatory functions are effective and efficient. It's a proactive position with ample development opportunities.
This role is hybrid, with 2 days per week in our Swindon office.

Key Accountabilities:
* Proactively identify and report quality issues, trends, emerging risks, and behavioral indicators.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and strengthen regulatory controls.
* Provide SME support and oversight across Openwork and 2plan entities within the COO function to support control management across AR monitoring activities.
* Conduct governance, monitoring, and assurance activities, including compliance audits and risk assessments focused on systems and controls.
* Escalate issues effectively, suggest actions, and implement solutions to keep the partnership safe and reduce consumer harm.
* Understand end-to-end business processes, procedures, and systems to fully grasp and communicate the implications of changes.
* Support projects and audits, including internal/external audits and oversight.
* Review policies and standards regularly to ensure they are current and fit for purpose.
* Collaborate with business functions to document governance frameworks and processes.
* Participate in relevant groups and committees as needed.
What will you need to succeed?
* Experience in a similar role within financial services
* Knowledge of FCA legislation, especially TCF and Data Protection
* Understanding of risk/control frameworks, governance, and regulatory controls
* Strong market, risk, and business awareness
* Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
* Analytical skills and keen attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
* Confident, articulate communication skills with the ability to influence and manage conflict effectively
