We're seeking enthusiastic and committed SEND Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant primary school communities across the North Manchester area. What We're Looking For:
* Experience: A minimum of 3-6 months of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK primary school settings.
* Team Teach Training: A willingness to attend and complete Team Teach training (provided as part of your induction if not already held). This is essential for supporting children with challenging behaviours safely and effectively.
* Commitment: A dedicated and reliable individual looking for full-time, long-term work. While initial placements may be day-to-day, our aim is to secure you consistent, long-term positions.
* Working Hours: Ability to commit to full-time hours, typically 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time.
* Passion for SEND: A genuine desire to support primary school children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties, and behavioural needs.
* Key Qualities: Patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude.
Your Role Will Involve:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND in primary classrooms, under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
* Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development within the primary curriculum.
* Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Assisting with classroom management and supporting positive behaviour strategies.
* Liaising with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for pupils.
* Preparing and adapting learning resources to meet individual needs.
