Summary of the role
Our client is seeking a full time Public Relations professional to manage PR efforts in Germany and France. The ideal candidate can confidently manage media relations, content creation, awards and speaking opportunities for both regions.
Percentage of business travel: approximately 10 percent
Main job responsibilities and accountabilities
* Confidently manage media relations, content creation, awards and speaking opportunities for Germany and France.
* Write media pitches, blogs, and bylined articles. Also assist with press releases.
* Manage media lists for both German and French publications and blogs.
* Collaborate with the U.S.-based West Director of Public Relations and the EMEA Marketing Manager as well as the French and German Regional Marketing Managers on press releases, blog posts and other PR and/or marketing efforts.
* Build pages for press releases and blogs in both French and German using the CMS system (Concrete5).
* Research and recommend speaking opportunities and awards in Germany and France.
* Ensure documents are accurately translated.
* Build relationships with German and French industry analysts.
* In addition to working closely with the entire marketing team, the German and French PR Manager will also collaborate with colleagues from product management and sales.
Person specification
* Fluency in German, French and English.
* Relevant experience working in-house or at an agency.
* Understanding what it takes to run a successful public relations program.
* Ability to manage programs for France and Germany simultaneously.
* Strong collaboration skills and working in a multilingual, global environment.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Concrete 5 CRM.
* Experience with maintaining media lists
* Experience with press release distribution services such as AccessWire, PR Newswire/Cision, etc.
