We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND and SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings. This is a long-term role starting in September 2025, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Your new role
* Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
* Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment
* Support students both 1:1 and in small groups to help them achieve their full potential
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students (school or care setting)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children's development
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
