Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and passion in local food and have a good experience of whole carcass butchery. As a nose to tail butcher you will play a crucial role in butchering our home reared pork, lamb and beef, ensuring the quality and safety of meat products, while also contributing to the overall efficiency of our farm shop.
Duties
* Prepare and cut meat according to specifications, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
* Hand linking sausages, preparation and ability to carry out
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of butchery, adhering to strict food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other staff to fulfil orders in a timely manner.
* Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and effectively.
Skills/Experience
* Proven experience as a carcass butcher or in a similar role within a shop or food production environment.
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices, with the ability to implement them consistently.
* Excellent knife skills and proficiency in cutting techniques.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* A passion for quality food preparation and an eagerness to learn new skills within the culinary field.

Pay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour
