Artworker
Contract: Rolling contract, 3 days per week
Hours: 10am – 6pm (Additional hours available to cover team leave)
Location: 100% On-site (London)
Hourly Rate: £18.00 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a meticulous, highly organised Artworker to join our established in-house design team in London. Working alongside 4 Graphic Designers, you will be the backbone of our document production, ensuring every file is built to absolute perfection.
This is a pure artworking role, not a creative design position. You will be working strictly within established financial brand guidelines and templates. If you take pride in flawless file structure, pixel-perfect alignment, and creating documents so clean that any teammate could pick them up and immediately understand the layout, this is the role for you.
This is a rolling contract with excellent stability; our previous incumbent held this position successfully for two years. We are happy to consider dedicated freelancers looking for consistent weekly days.
Key Responsibilities
* Template & File Management: Build and execute artwork strictly from templates, ensuring a methodical way of working with zero shortcuts. Maintain flawless file organization and document setup.
* Accessibility Compliance: Set up documents and digital assets in strict alignment with WCAG accessibility guidelines.
* Form Creation: Create clean, functional, interactive forms using Adobe InDesign and Acrobat.
* Brand Consistency: Act as a guardian for a single, corporate financial brand identity, ensuring absolute consistency across mostly smaller projects, with occasional larger campaigns.
* Stakeholder Communication: Confidently manage queries by picking up the phone to speak with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve layout or brief issues directly.
Skills & Experience Required
* Technical Expertise: Proven experience as an Artworker on a PC platform, with expert-level knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite—specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
* Accessibility Knowledge: Practical experience creating documents that meet WCAG guidelines.
* Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for detail, document structure, and precision.
* Presentation Software: Good working knowledge or experience with Microsoft PowerPoint is highly desirable.
* Communication: Strong verbal communication skills; you are proactive and comfortable calling stakeholders to clarify project details.
* Team Player: A collaborative mindset, used to working seamlessly within an established design team.
