Purchasing Assistant £28,000 £31,000 + Excellent BenefitsOur client, a successful and expanding manufacturing business, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-focused Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual looking to develop their career within a busy procurement function.Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day purchasing of stock while helping ensure efficient supplier coordination and smooth communication across internal departments.Duties: *Assist with the daily purchasing of stock to support manufacturing operations*Liaise with stores, accounts and suppliers to ensure timely supply and delivery of goods*Maintain and review the Vendor Assessment Scheme to ensure supplier quality standards are met*Coordinate the return of any non-conforming or unacceptable goods*Prepare weekly reports, carry out data analysis and maintain purchasing databases*Manage stock orders and support the wider procurement function with administration duties*Support continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing processes*Carry out additional duties as required by managementCriteria: *12 years previous experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain support role*Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills*Proficient IT skills with experience using purchasing software and Microsoft Office*Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative*Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail*Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment*Strong communication skills and a professional, team-focused approachPackage & Benefits*Competitive salary of £28,000 £31,000 + Bonus*Excellent benefits package*Standard working hours:oMonday Thursday: 8:00 am 5:00 pmoFriday: 8:00 am 4:00 pmo42 hours per weekFull-time office-based role, with potential flexibility following successful completion of probationThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business where you can contribute to a busy purchasing team while developing your procurement career.For a confidential discussion or to apply, contact Sophie at Cpl NI or apply here.Skills:Purchasing Procurement Supply chainWHJS1_NI
