Quality Control Technician
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (06:30 – 16:00)
About the Role
Are you experienced in inspecting CNC machined parts, or are you an existing Inspector looking for a new challenge?
As specialist manufacturing organisation are looking for a Quality Control Technician to join a precision engineering company renowned for producing high-quality, world-class products.
In this role, you’ll carry out dimensional inspections of both sub-contracted and in-house manufactured components, working directly from engineering drawings. You’ll use a range of hand measurement tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play an active part in maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect components, ideally CNC machined parts, to ensure they meet engineering specifications
*
Interpret and work from engineering drawings
*
Use measurement equipment to verify part accuracy
*
Support problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives
*
Maintain clear communication with the wider team to resolve issues efficiently
*
Liaise with customers and suppliers to address quality concerns
*
Participate in corrective actions and improvement processes
*
Assist in maintaining quality databases and reviewing non-conformance data
Skills and Experience
*
Proven experience inspecting precision components
*
Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
*
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
*
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
*
CMM experience (MITUTOYO mcosmos basic programming) is an advantage
*
Knowledge of quality standards, Six Sigma, or SPC desirable
