Regents Park Healthcare are looking for a Cardiac Physiologist to provide a high quality trans‑thoracic echocardiography service for elective patients at our Cambridge Heart Clinic. The role includes supporting Consultant Cardiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart conditions and ensuring the services needs are met.
Responsibilities
* Effectively manage own workload
* Assist with the efficient running of the outpatient service by prioritising daily workload
* Maintain standards of technical competency in the provision of non‑invasive cardiology
* Provide and participate in a reporting outpatient echo service
* Liaise with administrative staff to organise lists and prioritize workload
* Ensure equipment and work area are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and functionality
* Maintain stock levels of consumables
* Identify equipment faults and resolve them directly
* Report patient results in a timely manner
* Provide interpretation and full technical reporting on echocardiograms performed
* Respond to emergency situations, maintaining control effectively, promptly, and professionally, and request assistance as necessary
* Work according to local policies and protocols
* Treat patients with kindness and respect
* Maintain own clinical competency
* Manage case load and prioritize patient lists to maximise efficiency
* Work as part of the multidisciplinary team
* Implement and audit cases to ensure quality
* Balance clinical and administrative duties effectively
* Contribute to the accurate reporting and handling of incidents, and maintain personal professional development
Qualifications
* Must hold BSE Level 2 Transthoracic (TTE) accreditation
* Work in accordance with BSE standards
