We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable team player who will enjoy being the first point of contact at the hotel. You must be presentable, professional, and upbeat. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using our front office system to check guests in and out, and possess excellent telephone manners. Support across different hotel areas, including the kitchen, is required. Availability across early and late shifts, including weekends, is preferred. Previous experience in front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential. If you enjoy engaging with people, are professional and presentable, and eager to learn, this role is for you!
Job Description
You will work in a multi-skilled role supporting front-of-house functions. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the reception desk and food & beverage service. On reception, you will provide a friendly check-in and check-out experience using the hotel's front office system, for which you will receive training.
Additionally, you'll be a key member of the food and beverage team, supporting in the kitchen with food preparation according to our lounge menu, working at the bar taking orders and serving drinks, and assisting in delivering food to guest tables.
As a Guest Service Assistant, you will be part of a wider team dedicated to delivering excellent service, creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Duties
- Trained on the front office system to carry out reception duties, including guest check-in and check-out.
- Act as a hotel and brand ambassador.
- Serve as the first line of communication with guests, providing knowledge about the hotel's offerings, local area, and services.
- Provide food and beverage service, including taking orders, working at the bar, and within the lounge area.
- Support kitchen operations as needed.
