What you’ll be doing
As Lead Data Scientist, you’ll combine deep technical work with strategic leadership:
* Design and deploy predictive models and ML solutions that power real-time markets.
* Work hands on with cutting-edge datasets, AI techniques, and scalable data pipelines.
* Identify patterns and insights that directly influence live business decisions.
* Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and platform teams to optimise performance and reliability.
* Drive best practice, mentor / coach across the Data Science function.
This is a role where your ideas won’t sit in a backlog for months.. They will have a visible impact in real time.
About you
You’re an experienced data scientist who enjoys solving complex problems and helping others grow.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Proven experience in a Senior or Lead Data Scientist role.
* A track record of mentoring teams and leading technical projects.
* A degree (BSc/MSc) in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience using frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
* Experience with cloud platforms or distributed computing (GCP preferred, but AWS or Azure also welcome).
* Exposure to neural networks (a plus, not a must).
* A genuine interest in sports and data-driven decision making.
