The investment will support a modern Acute Medical service, including a significantly expanded and purpose-built Medical Same Day Emergency Care unit, with protected consultant presence and strengthened multidisciplinary working. Our future model prioritises early senior review, ambulatory pathways, frailty-focused care and better use of virtual wards and community services.
