Pilton Community College is seeking an ambitious, resilient and inspirational leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher: Raising Standards and Achievement. As Assistant Headteacher, you will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher: Quality of Education, acting as the strategic link between Teaching and Learning and Data and Assessment. You will ensure that information is used purposefully to track progress, identify gaps, and design interventions that raise outcomes for every learner.
We are looking for a leader who combines visionary thinking with strategic leadership, using data and evidence to inform decisions and lead change. You will bring a collaborative approach, building strong relationships across teams and partnerships, and demonstrate emotional intelligence, showing empathy, resilience and integrity in all aspects of your work.
You will set and uphold high expectations for both staff and students. With a strong sense of accountability and drive, you will maintain a solution-focused mindset and deliver measurable results. Your adaptability will enable you to respond effectively to change and emerging priorities, ensuring that standards remain consistently high across all year groups.
This role demands a leader who can turn analysis into action, inspire others, and contribute meaningfully to the strategic development of the school. * Deliver strategies that improve engagement and achievement across the school.
* Combine high expectations with humility, collaboration and a commitment to professional learning.
* To contribute to the strategic direction and development of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
