Main duties of the job

As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating a range of activities that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of the residents. This may include arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and other recreational pursuits. You will work to create a vibrant and inclusive environment that encourages residents to stay active, socialize, and express themselves. Your interpersonal skills and ability to connect with the residents will be crucial in this role.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a similar position, such as working as an activities coordinator or assistant in a care setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with older adults are also essential. Relevant qualifications, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, would be an advantage.
