Care Navigator required to join our GP Practice in Hadleigh Suffolk. We are looking to recruit a permanent part time receptionist to join our very busy, supportive, hardworking and friendly team.

The ideal candidate we are looking for will be a motivated team player, must have a positive attitude, reliable and hardworking, has good communication skills both verbal and written, possess good IT skills. You must be enthusiastic and flexible to work within the practice team and have the ability to remain calm and good natured when faced with challenging situations.

The post will be part time, working a combination of hours Monday to Friday, to be agreed. Our core hours are 8.00am to 6.30pm, the post-holder must be able to work during these times.

The role will require you to be flexible and to occasionally move your shift from a morning to an afternoon or an evening to cover holiday and/or sickness.

Customer service experience is essential and GP Practice and SystmOne experience would be an advantage, although training would be given to a suitable candidate.

The role will be based within a busy call taking team.

Job Responsibilities:

* Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the Practice
* Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments onto the electronic record system.
* Using your own judgment and communication skills ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner.
* Explain Practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary cover and ensure procedures are completed. Ensure that all new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accurately
* Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
* Advise patients of relevant charges for private (non General Medical Services) services, accept payment and issue receipts for same.
* File patient records accurately.
* Open up premises at the start of the day when first to arrive, and make all necessary preparations to receive patients.
* When last to leave at the end of the day, ensure that the building is totally secured, internal lights are off and the alarm activated.
* Ensure reception and waiting areas are kept neat and tidy.
* Register new and temporary patients.
* The above list of duties is not exhaustive and may be subject to change as deemed necessary.

Computer:

* Record data from patient letters and reports, as requested by the Clinician.
* TASKs (electronic patient memo)
* Retrieve electronic records and to scan patient letters and reports accurately.
* Any amendments to the computer software should be fully embraced and utilised to the maximum.
* When necessary contact IT Support Team to report computer problems.
* Maintain accurate, detailed and confidential records as requested
* Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.74 per hour
