Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the overall management of our facility, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and parents.
Duties
* Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Engage with children and implement educational activities that promote their development.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
* Oversee the management of resources, including staff scheduling and inventory control.
* Ensure that health and safety standards are upheld at all times within the nursery.
* Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance service quality.
Experience
* Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting is essential.
* Background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
* Experience working with children, ideally within a nursery environment.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations if necessary.
