An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Records Clerical Officer to join our busy team, providing administrative support within Health Records.
This permanent position is well suited to an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in a busy and thriving, supportive workplace.
Working Monday to Friday, you will primarily be based at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, but may be required to provide cover at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy depending on service needs.
The Health Records Department provides a comprehensive 24-hour Health Records Service across Fife, covering Clinical Coding, Information Management, Inpatient Services, Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit, Records Libraries, Scanning, Subject Access Requests, Outpatients, Waiting Times, Overseas Visitor Status, and NHS Fife Switchboard.
Previous admin/clerical experience, preferably in a Health Records department, is desirable. Knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality is preferred.
You must have the ability to prioritize and manage workload in a busy, fast-paced environment, follow instructions clearly, and work independently with minimal supervision. Good organizational, listening, and communication skills are essential, along with a flexible approach to working. A good level of English language competency is required.
