We are seeking a motivated and patient‑focused ARRSSalaried GP to join our Primary Care Network (PCN). This is an excellent opportunity to work across member practices within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, safe, and effective primary care services.
The postholder will support the delivery of PCN service specifications, enhanced access provision, and proactive population health management initiatives.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our Primary Care Network (PCN), working collaboratively across our member practices to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
The postholder will play a key role in supporting the delivery of enhanced services and PCN‑led projects, with a particular focus on improving outcomes for patients with long‑term conditions and reducing health inequalities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality GP consultations (face‑to‑face, telephone and online) across the PCN/practices
* Manage a varied clinical caseload, including acute presentations and long‑term conditions
* Support delivery of PCN priorities, including quality improvement initiatives and enhanced services (e.g. hypertension management, prevention programmes)
* Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, social prescribers, and health and wellbeing coaches
* Contribute to QOF, PCN DES and local incentive schemes
* Participate in clinical meetings, MDT discussions, and service development
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records in line with GMC standards
* Responding to medical problems presented by patients on the practice medical list, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate
* Establishing appropriate systems to manage common chronic medical conditions, e.g. asthma and diabetes
* Providing appropriate preventative health care and advice within the context of primary health care
* Clinically related administrative and non‑clinical duties needed for the delivery of general medical services, including QOF, LTC, LCS and other enhanced services work
* Maintain patients clinical records in accordance with the standards set by the Practice
* Engaging in appropriate educational activity to maintain clinical and managerial competence and performance
* Work collaboratively with all practice and PCN based staff to achieve the highest level of patient care
* Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance
* At all times whilst on duty you must be contactable
* The Salaried GP will be expected to attend clinical meetings
* The Salaried GP will be expected to assist with the reasonable supervision of the GP Registrars within our Training Practice
* You will be responsible for all paperwork/links etc generated from seeing your patients
* You will respond to requests for home visits and do them when appropriate
* You will be required to assist the practice with paperwork/links etc when other doctors are on annual leave or are sick
* Be expected to complete other clinical and administrative duties such as filing clinical documents, laboratory results and managing routine prescription requests or queries

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience in PCN working or quality improvement projects
* Interest in population health management and reducing health inequalities
Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and licence to practise
* On the NHS Performers List
* Excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
