About the role
The purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day warehouse operations effectively and efficiently, collaborating with Service Partners and staff. The role involves motivating, coaching, and developing shift managers to achieve high-quality standards across all areas of the operation. The primary goal is to achieve excellence in service standards and work with the Site/Area Manager to meet KPIs and company standards aligned with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop a thorough understanding of warehouse operations to ensure service levels are met.
2. Brief employees regularly according to company communications and strategies.
3. Ensure compliance with company policies and KPIs, maintaining high standards across the business.
4. Manage employee performance and conduct reviews as per company procedures.
5. Monitor costs and staffing levels to stay within targets.
6. Adhere to company guidelines on timekeeping, attendance, performance, and appearance.
7. Plan and forecast staffing needs to match productivity requirements.
8. Perform any other duties reasonably required or assigned by the Site/Area Manager.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience managing shifts in the parcel industry.
* Leadership experience with teams of 12 or more.
* Skills in statistical analysis and data processing.
* Proficiency with relevant computer systems.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, compliant with Data Protection Regulations.
