We have 5 operating suites catering for Cardiac, Orthopaedics, ENT and Ophthalmic, Plastics, General/Vascular, Urology and Gynaecology. We work with surgeons who are the best in their specialities carrying out simple to the more complex surgeries. Main duties of the job You will provide operational and clinical leadership to the theatre department, leading on and developing the service all areas of the theatre service. Managing the day to day running of the Theatre ensuring maximum use of available capacity, as well as working clinically as and when required • Lead on and manage change and quality improvements across the department • Working closely with Divisional Manager, will participate in the review of the service strategy. • Own and maintain key performance indicators for the services, which monitor key outcomes, and demonstrate delivery of ambitious targets to continually improve performance. • Ensure that all staff working within the service are clear about what is expected and are working together in successful teams to achieve the hospitals vision. • Ability to multi-task between hands-on clinical duties if required, people management, rota management and compliance management • Exercising the authority to resolve day-to-day management issues within the Service. • Providing appropriate input and challenge to clinical and service corrective plans where necessary • Provide strong visible leadership across the Theatre Suite • Responsible for ensuring the service works within the regulatory compliance framework, including CQC directives • Line manage, coach and develop team members and conduct annual performance appraisals in conjunction with the Divisional Manager About us Were a health insurer and provider.
