Role
Sous Chef at Crerar Hotels. You will support the Head Chef to uphold and elevate our kitchen standards, inspire the kitchen team, and deliver exceptional food in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You will contribute to menu creation, provide leadership and training, and ensure continuous improvement. You will adhere to the highest food hygiene standards, comply with health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. In collaboration with the Head Chef, you will monitor portion control, manage waste, and maintain stock to ensure profitability while upholding quality. Flexible working hours (including early, late, and split shifts) will be required.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef to uphold and elevate kitchen standards.
* Lead, train, and develop the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.
* Oversee food preparation, menu creation, and new dish development.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations; maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
* Monitor portion control, manage waste, and maintain stock control to support profitability and quality.
* Work flexible hours as required by the role.

Salary: £34,000 per year (or equivalent hourly rate).
