About The Role
We are looking for a finance professional to deliver an outstanding finance business partnering service to our academic and professional service areas.
The Management Accountant is a key position within the University of Leicester's finance team, responsible for financial management and reporting. The role includes delivering monthly management accounts, developing forecasting models, and supporting the budgeting process to meet strategic and operational goals.
As a Business Partner to academic and service departments, the Management Accountant provides analysis, identifies efficiency opportunities, and supports resource allocation. The role aims to enhance financial sustainability, foster collaboration, and enable informed decision-making across the university.
The successful candidate will work with a team of Management Accountants and Assistant Management Accountants to deliver high-quality services to stakeholders at all levels.
About You
You should be a qualified accountant, preferably with a degree or HND in a relevant field, with relevant experience in complex organizations. You must have experience in business planning, decision support, and excellent analytical and communication skills. The ability to explain financial concepts clearly and influence stakeholders is essential. Strong interpersonal, time management, digital skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are also required.
