Are you ready to make a real impact in the automotive industry? We are searching for a talented Residual Value Manager to join our team in Barnsley, where you'll play a critical role in shaping the financial success of a leading truck manufacturer.
As a Residual Value Manager in Barnsley, you will be at the forefront of the automotive industry, collaborating closely with sales, product, and finance teams to provide robust residual value strategies for new and used truck sales. Your primary mission will be to supply accurate, market-driven residual values enabling smart business decisions while managing risk in a dynamic, ever-evolving market. You will analyse complex, high-volume data from multiple sources, monitor used market trends, and leverage your industry expertise to inform and influence decision makers.
What You'll Do as Residual Value Manager:
* Maintain and deliver timely, accurate residual values to internal departments and the dealer network, meeting a 48-hour KPI to support prompt customer decisions.
* Build and maintain relationships across the automotive industry (including external contacts such as CAP HPI, SMMT, auctions, and trade shows) to stay ahead of market trends, and communicate valuable insights internally.
* Lead in-depth analysis of internal and external data to identify opportunities, oversee RV calculation system upgrades, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
* Chair quarterly steering committee meetings, prepare presentations, and follow up on agreed actions.
* Work cross-functionally with New and Used Sales, Product Development, Finance, and dealer teams to ensure a cohesive approach to residual value management.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Experience in residual value setting within the automotive industry, with buyback agreement knowledge a distinct advantage.
* Data analysis and presentation skills, Excel essential.
* Strong knowledge of the new and used truck market, remarketing, and the commercial vehicle landscape.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to synthesise complex data into actionable strategies.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to compliance, ethics, and internal controls.
