Our client is looking for two Telesales Executives to join their event and exhibitions team. The successful candidates will play a key role in selling exhibition stands for one of the largest trade shows in the UK manufacturing technology sector. The role offers a brilliant opportunity to join a highly experienced and motivated team that excels in providing customer care, developing long-term relationships with exhibitors, and identifying and securing new exhibitors.
In addition to selling exhibitor stands, the new Telesales Executives will be tasked with promoting exclusive membership services to our client’s ever-growing membership base.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work with the Head of Operations on the exhibition and other membership events throughout the year.
* Sell exhibition stand space to new exhibitors via various channels, including telesales, email, trade press, and direct postal marketing.
* Drive new exhibition business sales within the manufacturing technologies sector with the full support of all departments.
* Promote membership services to member companies.
* Use new business leads to sell membership and services to potential members and assist in growing membership numbers.
* Sell sponsorship to exhibitors.
* Gain a thorough understanding of all product areas exhibited at the exhibition, and the requirements of exhibitors to effectively sell the exhibition and develop new members.
* Develop and maintain a database of exhibitors and potential exhibitors, including researching and identifying new potential members/exhibitors.
* Maintain contact with confirmed and unconfirmed exhibitors before, during and after the event in order to ensure customer satisfaction and secure future exhibitor loyalty.
* Visit competitor events, contact existing and potential exhibitors, assess the competition, and develop offerings.
* Keep up to date with developments in the industry and make recommendations.
* Perform other duties as designated by the Telesales Manager and Directors.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
* Outstanding sales ability, with a clear understanding of how to close a sale over the telephone.
* Experience in a similar role.
* A positive approach, self-motivated with a desire to succeed.
* Outgoing, enthusiastic, and hungry to succeed, with a proven track record of building and maintaining new and existing customer relationships.
* Ability to work with many clients at the same time.
* Ability to multitask and communicate with clients via phone, email, and Teams.
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to illustrate excellent customer service skills.
* A confident and professional telephone manner.
* Creative thinking and problem-solving.
* Ability to focus on your own work and work as part of a team.
* Take ownership of after-sales care if necessary.
