Description MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: Maintenance of a secure environment outside of normal working hours across the aerodrome and for airport activities using observation, aids, external equipment and assisting with the maintenance and establishment of security standards. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To preserve the security and integrity of the airfield and landside areas i.e. the terminal area, during overnight cover liaising with third party support agencies as required e.g Fire Alarm Monitoring Company and Airport Stakeholders who require access overnight. To carry out regular and random mobile and foot patrols both airside and landside. To log and record via written report or other agreed process with the PSS team and/or other relevant Managers and airport users any observations and/or incidents. To take part in Station Emergency Procedures and training as published in the relevant manuals. To assist the On Call Senior Manager with Airport/Airline emergency procedures as published in the relevant manuals. To screen passengers and baggage in accordance with the laid down procedures To search baggage as required To maintain the cleanliness of the terminal To assist other airport staff when required during the instance of late or delayed flights that may take in normal overnight hours such as dealing with telephone enquires, passenger assistance, car park gritting, trolley collections and FOD plods.
