About the RoleYou will join a friendly andmitted school team, delivering high‑quality teaching and creating an engaging learning environment. Depending on your preference and experience, you may teach:
1. EYFS: Phonics, early number skills, purposeful play
2. KS1: Early reading, writing and maths foundation blocks
3. KS2: Broad curriculum delivery and preparing pupils for transition
Flexible working patterns available, including:
4. Full‑time
5. Part‑time
6. Job‑share
7. 3 or 4‑day teaching weeks
Schools in the Chard area are open to working around your availability to find the right fit.
What We’re Looking ForYou will be:
8. A qualified teacher (ECTs wee)
9. Confident delivering lessons independently
10. Passionate about helping children progress academically and emotionally
11. Strong at classroom management and positive behaviour support
Specialisms in phonics, SEND support, or core subjects are highly valued, but not essential.
