Murray Recruitment are recruiting a permanent Hire Controller for our client based in South Lanarkshire.Role Overview:This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing business within the construction support sector. The Hire Controller will play a crucial role in coordinating hire and service arrangements for customers and construction companies. The role demands a high level of customer service and professionalism, with the chance to work in a supportive, team-focused environment.Key Responsibilities: * Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding plant and services. * Manage and monitor incoming enquiries via telephone, website, and email. * Ensure all enquiries are responded to within the hour, following internal guidance. * Engage in a range of administrative tasks, including filing and purchase ledger support. * Maintain regular contact with drivers and assist in resolving any service issues. * Collaborate with the yard team to ensure daily operational readiness. * Process and confirm off-hires in a timely and accurate manner. * Promote and maintain a safe working environment. * Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication. * Work collaboratively within a small, close-knit team with a positive and humorous approach.Skills & Experience: * Previous experience in a similar Administrator position is highly desirable. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookOffering: * Salary from £26,984 per annum. * Hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. * Holidays 28 days including bank holidays * Company pension scheme. * Free on-site parking
