The Client Our client has built a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality, bespoke construction projects across London and the Home Counties. Their diverse portfolio spans high-end residential refurbishments, complex structural alterations, basement constructions, and premium commercial/new build schemes. They are a contractor that prides itself on exacting standards, premium finishes, and the ability to seamlessly manage logistically challenging sites. With a secure pipeline of work and a commitment to operational excellence, they are looking for a senior operational leader to take control of a diverse portfolio of upcoming schemes. The Role This is a dynamic, multi-site leadership role. You will be splitting your time between the West London-based office and conducting site visits across Essex, London, Surrey, and Berkshire, going wherever the projects need your attention most. Your duties will include: Multi-Site Leadership: Overseeing 3 to 5 live projects simultaneously (ranging from bespoke refurbishments to complex new builds), ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to strict quality standards. Commercial & Programme Control: Working closely with the commercial teams to monitor project budgets, manage variations, and ensure works adhere strictly to the programme. Quality & Finish: Ensuring all site teams are delivering the premium, high-spec finish that the company's clients expect. Team Management: Mentoring and line-managing Project Managers and Site Managers, ensuring they have the resources and support to drive site progress. Client Liaison: Acting as the senior point of contact for private clients, architects, and stakeholders, chairing progress meetings and expertly managing expectations. Requirements Essential: Proven experience operating as a Contracts Manager within a Main Contractor environment, specifically delivering high-end residential, complex refurbishments, or bespoke commercial projects. Essential: A sharp eye for detail and a track record of handing over projects with high-specification finishes. Essential: Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black (Manager) Card, and First Aid. Essential: A strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple complex programmes simultaneously. Location & Travel: You must be based within a commutable distance of the West London/Middlesex area and be willing to travel to sites across Essex, London, Surrey, and Berkshire.
