Work Hours
4 sessions per week – Monday and Tuesday.
Responsibilities
* Delivery of highly effective medical care to patients via face‑to‑face, telephone and home visits within The Village Surgery.
* Generic prescribing in line with local and national guidance.
* Work independently to manage case load and long‑term conditions.
* Handle referrals, prescription requests and other administrative tasks.
* Adhere to and maintain best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with policy and guidance.
* Review and adhere to all policies and guidelines.
* Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
* Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
* Support QOF targets.
* Attend and contribute effectively to weekly and monthly practice meetings as required.
* Ensure compliance with the appraisal and revalidation processes.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance and training.
* Commit to self‑learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team.
* Assist and support partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice.
* Embrace collaborative working and liaise regularly with all staff.
Compensation
£11,500 per session (£12,000 per session pro‑rata after the probation period is complete).
Location
The Village Surgery is based in South Normanton and Pinxton, serving approximately 9,500 patients across both sites.
Team
The practice has a friendly team of General Practitioners, including three partners, a nursing team, and admin and reception staff.
